CoastlinE Fish & Chips

Our Story

A family-run business, Coastline Fish and Chips opened in 2002 and although the look of our restaurant has changed quite a bit since then our ethos has always remained the same; to provide our customers with the highest quality food and best possible service.

The numerous awards and accolades which have come our way since, tells us that we haven’t done a bad job of sticking to our principles! Whether it has been expanding our restaurant or constantly updating our menu, we put our success down to the fact we have never stood still and continue to strive for excellence.

Doing all we can when it comes to protecting the environment through our actions, initiatives and promotion of sustainability has been a big part of what we have achieved so far. We have also received Fish and Chip Quality Accreditation from the National Federation of Fish Fryers.

Looking after our planet for future generations

All our takeaway chip cartons are a recyclable by-product of sugar cane, which biodegrades within two years unlike polystyrene which can take two hundred! We also use wooden chip forks instead of plastic as they are fully biodegradable.

Our involvement in environmental initiatives includes the collection of litter and plastic at Blyth Beach. Furthermore, we use local suppliers whenever possible too, as not only do we like to support businesses from the area, but this also helps to reduce our carbon footprint.

We are also Gold Food Fuel members which ensures our business is environmentally responsible. This means that we divert our food waste away from landfill to renewable energy sources which reduces our carbon footprint.

Playing an important role within our community

Since opening our doors 20 years ago, we have become renowned for so much more than our delicious fish and chips. We are proud to have become a major employer in the area having provided jobs for hundreds of local people over the years.

We have supported various charities and clubs. Our chosen charity this year is the RNLI. We have sponsored many local sports clubs including youth football teams. We also sponsor local events including the annual music festival, Blyth Live.
